VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT ARTSPLASH IN CARLSBAD: SEPTEMBER 26-27, 2009

Chalk Art Festival Organizers Invite People to Join the Fun and Help Make the Event a Success – Early Signups are Encouraged


Carlsbad, CA … ArtSplash 2009 needs volunteers to serve in time shifts and areas of their choosing on the weekend of September 26-27, 2009. The annual outdoor chalk art festival on Armada Drive is a volunteer-driven community celebration for arts education. Proceeds benefit arts and music programs in North County schools.

ArtSplash Chairperson Joni Miringoff states, “We invite people to enjoy the ‘art’ of volunteering while meeting great people and being of service to their community. Your participation will help ensure the success of the event.” Students can earn community service hours.

Various jobs and shifts are available. Volunteers are needed to help with event set-up and clean-up, and to assist throughout the event by helping chalk artists, assisting with the silent auction, providing information to event-goers and fulfilling other key functions.
